Happy Friday, guys! Just popping in to share a few photos from our iphone. Lately, we've been trying to get off our butts and consciously plan out our evenings. We've noticed that no plans equals us having dinner at home and then zoning out in front of the TV. Terrible, I know. So instead, I've started planning fun things for us to do after work. Nothing too fancy, but still, it makes a world of difference. We've been taking our dinner to go and heading down to the beach, going for walks, going to our local coffee shop for dessert + hot chocolate, and my personal fave, sharing a glass of wine on our patio. I think it's officially time to ban ourselves from TV watching and get out and live a little. Am I right?...

Other than that, May's been a fantastic month. Warm, sunny and just beautiful. I've spent most of it working on my Etsy shop... writing my business plan, shop policies, and I've taken a few jewelry classes to improve & hone my skills. I'm hoping to start selling my pieces to a few local boutiques and I'd love to sell at a craft fair this summer/fall too. It seems like it would be loads of fun. Speaking of jewelry, thanks so much for your lovely words & compliments yesterday - so nice to hear. What's your May been looking like?!

14 sweet notes:

  1. What a charming selection of photos, V - it looks like you and Martin have had a wonderful month so far! May has definitely held some disappointments and frustrations for us so far, but we're over the hump now and, tomorrow, off to London! I couldn't be more excited. Wishing your little family a fabulous weekend!

  7. Lovely pictures, and what a great idea! My husband and I rarely go anywhere after work. I think I'll start planning little outings like this, because the weather is finally looking nice and we can't waste good weather!

  10. Happy Weekend you two!!! i feel like i can see right into your soul surge here Veronika - Sean isn't exactly a planner so the majority of pre-destined events falls on me to arrange. normally i'm better at it but lately my gumption has failed and the tv has been a huge draw :( we are wanting to shake things up more too, thanks for the extra motivation lades!!

love the photo montage, you look gorgeous soaking up the fresh sea air! i think that photo grids like this are my fave to peruse. it's like a compartmentalized sight fest... reminiscent of comic books and how the images move along to tell a story. so good!!! xo ♥

  11. I love your pictures! It looks like you guys have been having lots of fun! We tend to zone out and watch movies after dinner on week nights as well - but Robbie is on the road with the band so much that when he's home, he likes to stay home. I like the idea of packing up your dinner and having a picnic though! We're going to have to try that before he goes back on tour this week.
