Just this past Saturday, we met up with friends for a cozy x-mas brunch,
hosted by our good friend Cal at his city condo. I chose boyfriend
jeans, a cozy sweater and statement necklace for our lazy pre-holiday
afternoon. It was the greatest of get togethers... we enjoyed fabulous food & yummy drinks. Plus, both of my good
girlfriends just had babies so I enjoyed a ton of cuddle time with their
little bundles. My ideal day!
A big thank you to my friends at Mellow World for sending me this gorgeous bag. It's been a great go-to, and lovely in both quality & style. Well, on that note, I'm off to tackle my 100 mile long to-do list and nurse my pesky cold. But thank goodness for peppermint hot coco and Christmas music. And snow! Yup, we got our first snow fall yesterday and it's still going strong... there's nothing like looking out at the evergreen trees and seeing them all covered in white! xo veronika

You know what I love? How the pattern on your cami matches your bag. That's such a cute touch! And yikes, get well soon! I'm off work with a throat infection - I sound like an 80-year old man who drinks whiskey all day!
ReplyDeleteThis is my idea of a perfect outfit for a cozy lunch with friends! I love how its super casual but you still look amazing. Hope you get better soon! Have a lovely week!
ReplyDeleteI love the softness of this look and, of course, that it looks so comfy yet still pulled together! I hope you feel better soon. Tis the season for really pesky colds. :-/

Love love love the bag - especially paired with the boyfriend jeans. Vet casual chic. The Christmas brunch with friends sounds wonderful! And we have our first big snow here in Chicago too. xo
ReplyDeleteYou know I love a good Madewell piece, so I love seeing this Madewell cami remixed in a fun new way. I never would have thought to layer a sweater over it but it works so well. Ingenius styling, my friend - and so comfortable for a lazy Sunday brunch, too. And on the subject of pesky colds, I'm right there with you. This chilly weather has been beautiful but it's been the worst for getting sick! Hope you feel better soon.

i love clicking over here; it's like being able to press the "girlfriend button" and be magically delivered to a space that nails it each and every time. BTS groupie through and through, obsessive adoration + bic flicks over this awesomely put together look! fabulous bag, the color just pops and creates a whole new mood of polish to amp up these casually, comfy wears.
ReplyDeletegreat choice for your brunchness! snow excitement overloads today, we're rounding up the pack to head towards our 1st dog park. wish us lucks. next up will be a double date with Scout, can't wait! xo

Hi Veronika!! I am sorry to hear that you are fighting a cold, but glad that you were still able to enjoy brunch with your friends...and looking so cozy and chic, I might add!! I did a sweater and shirt combination this Sunday, too; but I wore my sweater UNDER my shirt!! It's all about creative layering right now, isn't it?!

I have a very similar sweater so I love seeing how you styled yours. This is a fantastic brunch look!
ReplyDeleteAw yay, glad to know my outfit is Melissa approved! You're one of my favourite fashionistas! :D Had such a wonderful time with you today... could have chatted forever!! And thank you for taking such beautiful photos too!! xoxo
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you!! So far, I'm kicking this cold's butt - thank heavens cause I have a busy week ahead. And layering a sweater under a shirt is one of my favourite combos. I do it often with dresses to stay warm too. Hope you're having a wonderful week and staying warm!! xoxo
ReplyDeleteOh no. Feel better soon!! Being sick is the worst... well aside from catching up on favourite shows!! xoxo
ReplyDeleteI love how simple and chic this outfit is. The printed cami under the sweater is a fun way to get some pattern into the look. Thinking about it now, I guess I did something similar today.
ReplyDeleteI never used to consider myself a "red person," but I have some bag envy right now!!
xoxo Jackie
