Winter wonderland & cozy day off wear

Jan 8, 2014

Well then, that was definitley a ridiculously long blog break. I can't believe my last outfit post was several weeks ago. But so it goes. In all honesty, it was delightful not having to think about outfit photos or structure my day around them. Don't get me wrong, I love fashion (always!), and this space, but it was so wonderful to forget about blogging and just be. This year, it's my goal to find the balance and not put so much pressure on myself, in both life and blogging. Sometimes, I'm way too type A for my own good.

As for the photos? These were actually taken back in December, and thank goodness I had them saved for a rainy day. I've been in bed this past week with the most dreadful flu/cold, so outfits have been far & few between. But, I'm back on my feet and you can expect to see a lot more of me next week. Thanks to Melissa of the style blog Miss Melissa for the fabulous photos too!

PS The winners of the banner ad giveaway are...  Bivisyani Q and April Everyday. Thank you to everyone who took the time to enter. I used Random.Org to choose the winner. Please email me to claim your prize! :)

  10. So glad to hear you're finally feeling better, V! There has been such a nasty flu going around :( Welcome back to the world of blogging, your lovely posts were certainly missed over the holidays but sometimes a nice break is exactly what a gal needs. Hopefully we can both working on getting out of our own type A personality way this year and learn to take more of those breaks ;) As for this outfit, I honestly don't think it could be any cuter - so perfect for a casual, snowy Saturday, especially your jacket and hat!

  13. Such pretty photos, Veronika!! I love the beanie (I can't seem to find a knit version that I like as much as my leather one...maybe I should try a thrift store, too!) and I can see that your hubby hasn't reclaimed his cardigan yet!! :)
I sometimes think it's hard for us to believe that we really DO deserve to take a break every once in a while - I know I often feel that way - so good on you for taking some time off!! XO
