Beauty | My Everyday Make-Up

Sep 17, 2014

Lately, I've received several comments and tweets about what kind of make up colours & products I use. So today, I'm chatting about exactly that. When it comes to my everyday make-up, I like a routine that's quick + easy and above all natural. For fall, I'm excited to add a touch of brown shadow and plum lipstick to my make up collection, as well as a few new nail-polish colours. I'm dreaming of dark green and shimmery navy. So pretty, right?! If you have any products you'd love to recommend... let me know in the comments. I'd love to hear!

Face // I do a quick dab of Aveeno Clear Complexion Moisturizer, my Maybelline Fit Me Concealer  (it's amazing) and a light dusting of mineral foundation. I'm currently using Sia Bella Mineral Foundation and loving it. It has medium coverage and gives my face a beautiful & natural glow!

Eyes // For eyes, I apply Stila Eyeshadow in Kitten, basically all over and add a bit of black eyeliner to my top lid. I then curl my eyelashes using Sephora's eyelash curler and pile on my Maybelline Falsies Mascara to both my top & bottom lashes.

Cheeks // I use Sephora's Baked Blush Duo in Tangerine and apply it to the apples of my cheeks. I also do a quick swipe of bronzer on my chin, nose and forehead for a little bit of extra colour!

Lips // I'll either do a quick swipe of gloss or nude lipstick. I love Maybelline Baby Lips or Revlon's Balm Stain in Precious. By the way, I'm wearing Revlon in the above photo! It's one of those fabulous colours that works great no matter my hair colour, and is very much universally flattering.

There you have it my super fast and easy make-up routine. I'll be back on Friday with a weekly wrap up post. Until then, wishing you a fantastic week! xo

26 sweet notes:

  1. Natural, but enhancing! So beautiful! I'd love to see a more dramatic look too! :D

  5. I love Stila's Kitten! It's basically a cult classic, isn't it? Also, I usually go for a similar cheek color - I love that it looks so natural and yet gives you that pop of color you need to look fresh and awake! Thanks for sharing.

  6. I have to agree with you on the Maybelline Fit Me concealer. It's my favorite! Have you tried Revlon's Balm Stain in Honey? It is such an easy, everyday color. I'm going to have to check out Precious :)

  7. I like really easy and natural make-up for most days too. I don't even wear eye shadow most of the time. But I love buying them, so I have been trying to use them more lately :)

  8. My make up is similar to yours! I am all about simple and quick. Lately allergies have made me leave out the eye shadow and liner though. Me rubbing my eyes all day doesn't make for a good look!

  9. Isn't mineral foundation the best?? I've been a fan for years, and am currently using one by Tarte (of course I had to get the company's luxuriously soft kabuki brush to go with it, too!! Oops!!) And the Revlon Balm Stain you're wearing is such a lovely, natural-looking shade, dear V...I just might go snag one for myself!! ;)

  11. I always wondered if your usual eyeshadow was Stila's Kitten - and now it's officially confirmed :) I have the same one in my arsenal but use it surprisingly rarely. I normally wear three eyeshadow colours and I've never been able to find a good match for it. I think I may just take a page from the book of V and try it all by itself! Looking gorgeous as always, my friend. Happy Wednesday!

  13. Lately I've become more enamoured with beauty routines and makeup in general. I have quite the collection of lipsticks, yet I hardly use them. However, I've been putting more effort into my routine lately and it's been fun! Haha usually I just swipe on eyeliner and call it good :P
