Hello, friends!! Great to be back with an outfit post, and thanks so much for all your sweet comments on Martin's acting gig + my blogging hiatus! In other news?! I'm excited to say spring has definitley sprung in Vancouver... I can't believe I've started seeing cherry blossoms - whaaat?! It seems as though this turn in weather has also brought some fresh fashion inspiration with it. No complaints! Currently, I'm head-over-heels for anything bohemian inspired and have my eye on several "boho worthy" pieces like this rose paneled cardigan, this crochet dress and an embroidered blouse. So pretty, right?

Other than that, holy crap, I can't believe we're moving in just over a month. I have so many exciting plans for the blog and my business. More on that soon! Plus, it'll be fun to shoot in a brand new space... we'll have white walls, over-height ceilings and beautiful wide plank hardwood! In the meantime though, we're slowly adding boxes to our current home and it's certainly looking less than fabulous! My new mantra?! I will survive the clutter! ;)

Firstly, I'm a few days late in wishing everyone a happy spring. So yay, happy spring guys! Also, I'm back with my natural & darker locks... I had so much fun styling up my wig over the last few weeks. But of course, it's impossible to wear on the daily. I did however nab some really beautiful hair extensions and I can't wait to try those!! Do you ever experiment with wigs or extensions? For me, it's been a really fun way to try something new without killing my own hair + at the end of the day I love being a chameleon!

Although, I'm nice & cozy here, and in all black... don't let that fool ya! Our temps are getting blissfully warm and our cherry blossoms have been in bloom for the past few weeks. I've even had the chance to break out my sandals. This is quality stuff, people! Sandals, dresses and the promise of BBQ weather makes me ridiculously happy. As for today's look? I wore it to see a play with Martin and loved it. I adore pairing browns and blacks together. And last but not least, beanies? Yup still going strong over here! ;)

Today's outfit is fast, fast! I wore this to meet friends for drinks and was pretty jazzed about how the outfit came together. I also wore a similar version of this outfit over the weekend... but paired it with booties, an over-sized scarf and my floppy hat. I gotta say, starting with basics and then adding key accessories is quickly becoming one of my favourite ways to dress... for me, it's the secret to getting the most out of my pieces and really stretching my closet that extra mile. So yay, for remixing with awesome layers. Am I right?!

What a week!! Heck, what a month... it's no surprise I'm reaching for simple classics these days! Martin & I are possibly looking to sell our condo in the next month-ish and have been busy meeting with our bank, realtor and viewing homes. It's super exciting, but also, wow, extremely exhausting! Daily Wears | New Year & Fresh Starts

So great to be back with my first official outfit post of 2015! And of course, a new year wouldn't be the same without a few blog tweaks! ;) Speaking of fresh starts?! I'm not sure what's gotten into me... but this year, I'm over the moon excited for 2015!! I'm feeling a big shift both professionally & personally, and honestly, it's such a welcome change. Andrea said it best, I too feel like I've been in a rut lately. However, I'm excited to change that! This is the year I'd like to try new things and get serious about the things I love, like blogging and my photography business. YES!

Daily Wears | Cozy Days

I must say, taking my own photos is really re-igniting my love of personal style blogging. I know the photos aren't super fancy or anything, but nevertheless, I love getting to document what I'm wearing on the daily. I believe, it's a great way to discover your style and hone your fashion skills. In fact, long before style blogging... I used to take quick snaps of my outfits for the month and then refer to my "personal archive" when I needed to get dressed. Made my life a breeze! Love that I'm kind of doing the same thing again. Well, except this time I'm sharing it with you guys...

As for the outfit? I love wearing cute & cozy outfits like this if I'm visiting a girlfriend or just relaxing with friends on a Friday night. When out & about (aka in the cold)... I love pairing this outfit with a wool military jacket, moto jacket or a slouchy cocoon cardy. Done and done!

Sometimes, it's the little victories that deserve the biggest celebration, no?! Case in point, I've started taking my own outfit photos (yup, Martin's doing a happy dance) and I've decided to take my photos indoors for the winter months. Let me tell ya, this gal, is done freezing to death and catching colds. Plus, look... Scout decided to photo bomb my outfit post!! Ha, there's so many wins happening over here you guys! ;) As for the outfit?! Lately, it's one of my absolute favourites. I usually wear this outfit for a laid-back dinner with my love or to see a friend for coffee. I love either adding my favourite trench, or a slouchy cardy when I want to feel warm & cozy - which lately, is all the time!

Perhaps it's the Canadian girl in me... but I love pairing a parka with a pretty lace dress. When it comes to personal style, I definitley have a thing for pairing the unexpected! Like, a pretty statement necklace with Martin's over-sized sweater + rolled up jeans, or a floaty maxi dress with a shrunken plaid shirt. So much fun! What are your favourite and unexpected pairings? Daily Wears | Late Fall Cozy

Did I say late fall?! Bloody hell - it's feeling more like early winter lately. It's cold, am I right?!! I'm noticing many of you're already getting hit with snow via instagram. I'm sure we'll be following suit very soon! But honestly, a white Christmas is something I never mind. This year Martin & I have plans to head up to Whistler for some snowy couples photos. Can't wait! Naturally, I'm already planning outfits and this image is my jumping off point... I love the idea of wearing a winter themed floral crown, over-sized knits and a long flowy dress. As for today's outfit? This is my... in a pinch, off to run errands but still want to look chic outfit. My personal mantra? When in doubt, put a trench on it! ;)

Hello! Happy to be back, well and alive. Plus, hopefully done with my flu. Today, I'm excitedly teaming up with Elana Carello and featuring one of her adorable sweaters. If you follow me on instagram then you know I'm a huge cat lover and this sweater had my name written all over it. If you're curious about the fit... I'm 5' 9" and the sweater hits just at the top of my hip bone, has a great hi-low detail and is made of 100% cotton. So, it's super comfy & cozy. How would you style this fun and whimsical sweater?!...

Daily Wears | Almost Fall

As the title suggests, it's almost fall in our neck of the woods. Most days are deliciously warm and we still have a ton of green everywhere. A delayed fall? If it means a shorter winter... I'll take it! I wore this easy & simple look over the weekend (ha, aren't they all?!) to grab some soup with my honey and run a few quick errands. Things have been pretty quiet over here, I'm fighting off a stomach bug at the moment and just can't seem to shake it. No fun! Have you heard of something go around? Oh man, I'm so ready to be done with it!
