an afternoon date

Apr 22, 2013

A little peek into our typical Sunday afternoon... we've been attending a five part series at Village Church in White Rock, which we're enjoying immensely. Afterwards, we typically love to go out for sushi. We found a fantastic place that is situated in a cute village (South Point Exchange) - I usually order their yam tempura roll and tofu dish. It's delicious! These days, we're pretty thankful for our Sundays as Martin's job has been extra busy lately and we love getting this time to connect.

Also, I just wanted to take a quick moment and thank everyone for their incredible support of the new space. I'm so glad to know you're enjoying it. I have a million more ideas for the blog and I'm even considering bringing outfit posts back - but this time, with a twist. I'll be sure to keep you posted!...

17 sweet notes:

  1. Oh V, sometimes I think you read my mind! I've been having serious sushi cravings lately... but the sushi on offer here in France doesn't even begin to resemble the good stuff we get back home. I guess it's the French spin on things - plus we're inland - but there are a lot of rolls with cheese and beef and, alas, no yam tempura roll to be found! Breaks my heart. But at least if I can't enjoy it, it's nice to see someone else doing it - and the roll you're eating in these shots look divine! Enjoy some for me :)

  2. I love how you guys are taking advantage of your Sundays - I always promise myself that I'm going to start being more active on Sundays but I've yet to have one that doesn't involve bumming around in sweats and doing laundry. But I really want to change that and start using the day for walks and lunches or movies with my husband. Basically I need to get my act together!

  7. Hey Veronika! Just wanted to say, I like this new blog a lot! And also, if you're looking to include more protein in your diet, have you tried Bounce protein balls? They're great for eating right after you exercise, or if you're in the middle of something and don't have time to stop and eat. (Don't think it's a good idea to eat more than one a day though.) They're like tasty treats - my favourites are almond, which tastes like Amaretto, and Walnut Fudge, which tastes like chocolate fudge. There's also a peanut one that tastes like Snickers! Good luck with your quest to get your health back! *cheers and waves pompoms*
