It feels so fantastic to be back with an outfit post. Even though my family & I are going through a difficult time, I'm doing my best to move forward and do things I love... like blogging, running my Etsy shop, keeping up with friends and taking time to re-coup.
This season, my love of midi length dresses is still going strong and I've been layering them with crisp little jackets (for day) or knit cardy's for chillier nights. Personally, I prefer longer hemlines as I feel they lend a classier and more elegant look to my outfits. What do you guys think, what's your preferred length? And, here's a few midi length dresses that I'm currently crushing on: this yellow one is phenomenal, a bold floral print one seems like the ultimate must have, and lastly, who can resist this adorable polka dot one?! Can't wait to snag a few for my closet!

In spite of everything, you are looking positively lovely, V! I just love the timeless, elegant quality of your printed dress - such a perfect pick for a summer night dinner out. They work so well with your lovely JC sandals, which have always been one of my favourite pieces in your wardrobe :) Thinking of you and yours.

I feel that just getting up and putting on a dress does so much to my mood when I really need a pick me up. I too, gravitate toward midi length, but it's usually to cover my hips :)

I love that white blazer, I've been dying for one! I find mid lengths a little hard for me because I'm so short, either a mini or a maxi are best for me. I love that length on you though!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous dress and blazer V! you really look beautiful! and i adore that yellow dress that you are crushing on..i could def see you in it!
ReplyDeleteEven with everything you've been dealing with, you are still radiant! I love that dress on you! I tend to look best in very short lengths or maxi lengths, but I'd like to try a dress like this.
ReplyDeleteTo appear taller, short hems above the knee looks best on me. But I like hems just below the knee on windy days, so I don't flash my undies.
ReplyDeleteThe dress you have on is gorgeous.
I hope your mom's health will improve.
I'm sorry that your family aren't back on top form yet Veronika. It must be tiring and all-consuming. I wish your mum better as soon as possible.
ReplyDeleteBut on a positive note you look really lovely. Such a pretty, floaty dress! I think shorter dresses look younger, because young people don't seem to have the confidence to try midi length yet. Saying that, because I'm short I prefer to have a short or long length- midi can make me look even shorter. I prefer longer though - I'm not a short hem line kind of girl at all...I spend the whole day pulling it down! So floor length suits me (excuse the pun) down to the ground.

That dress is lovely! I adore the pattern on it :) xo
ReplyDeleteThat dress is just so pretty! I'm actually liking the longer length too - maybe I'm just getting older? More likely, I'm just sick of having to worry about my bum popping out when I bend over - yikes!
