Home: Wooden Feature Wall

Aug 13, 2014

Firstly, I'd like to take a moment and whine. Oh man, I miss blogging!! Unfortunately, I'm unable to sit at my desk without paying a hefty & painful price... but soon! Soon, I hope to be back in the full swing of things. So don't give up on me guys! And secondly, my girlfriend Erin (hi Erin) just added a wood feature wall to her bedroom and now I'm obsessed. I'd love to do the same for our place, we'll see... I'm kind of running out of walls! ;)

Aren't both these rooms amazing? I love the warmth the wood adds + the pops of colour are absolutely divine in both rooms. I swear, next life, interior design here I come. It's such a passion of mine... coincidentally Martin's getting a big raise in September and I see where all our money will be going. I kid, sort of. What do you think guys?! Would you add a wooden feature wall to your home?!

Love this wall from Better Homes and Gardens too. The slightly blue-ish colour is so beachy & lovely - plus the pops of white give this living room a clean and modern look which I absolutely adore. Ok, on that note, I'll leave you with a few more inspirations... be sure to pop by my pinterest page for my favourite beach homes and other home tid-bits!

Wishing you a fabulous Wednesday friends, and please, send your healing prayers!! xo

  4. You know what, you could buy that wallpaper that looks like bleached wood - it's not that cheap, but probably cheaper than doing the wall for reals - plus you've got a great chance to Ctrl+Z if you decide you're sick of it after a few months... ;)

  5. Oh my gosh, that last room - just stunning! I'm not sure a wooden feature wall would be very me but I would LOVE to have an exposed brick wall in my home one day, I just love how those look! And I just have to say, hurray for Martin's raise in September, so glad there was finally some good news on that front :) Happiest Wednesday, my friend.

  6. Oooh yes, brick us too! Martin & I talk about doing a brick wall in our next place. I adore that look. As for the raise? It's a result of Martin doing his masters... sadly the strike is still going strong. Ugh! Biggest hugs! V

  13. I became obsessed with wooden feature walls after seeing them do one in a dining area on Fixer Upper (a show on HGTV down here in the states!). I'm a huge fan of the lighter wood walls in a smaller space. These are great inspiration! I love all the different types of wood and how each room is styled to go with them.

  14. I could totally live in ANY of these rooms, dearest Veronika!! The panelled walls add a warm, rustic yet modern feel to each space...and yeah, I can almost smell the ocean air wafting in through the windows!! Gorgeous!! If my husband and I hadn't done a whitewashed brick feature in our bedroom just a couple of years ago, this wall treatment would undoubtedly be in the running!! XO
