For those of you who follow me on instagram, then you know we're selling our condo and buying another home. It's been incredibly exciting, stressful and kind of emotional... but mostly, we're up for the adventure and looking forward to what's in store. Today, I'm sharing photos from a few of the showrooms we've visited and what's inspiring us in the home decor department. As for our buying plans? We've decided not to buy new this time around, but rather we're choosing a 5 - 9 year old home and then doing renovations. Whoot! In the weeks to come, I'll be finishing up our current home tour and then moving onto our renovation journey. Yay, who's excited?!! :)
Have you sold and bought a new home? I'd love to hear your tips!! xo

The mockups look beautiful! Can't wait to see what you do with the place :)
ReplyDeleteHow exciting–the inspiration is just gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteSo exciting, V! I'm a huge fan of your current place but I can't wait to see what you'll do with a space you get to renovate :) We've only ever had our one apartment, but we are looking to sell it sometime next year... but probably to go back to renting. A mortgage makes me feel so tied down! Silly, but true :)

I can't wait to see what you wind up doing! And I'm dying over all these photos....

These are so pretty--so clean and simple, which I love. Good luck with everything! I'm hoping to get started on that same journey by the end of the year :)

Congratulations! Such a fun adventure!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your new home! I'm sure it will be as stylish if not more stylish as your current home :)

Congratulations, honey!! That's such wonderful news. Good luck with restoring the new place, I feel like Victor and I are experts now that we've had our flat practically rebuilt - so if there's anything you want to ask, drop me a line and maybe I know the solution. Or at the very least I can commiserate from experience! ;)
ReplyDeleteBut how fun for you! Being able to actually decorate from scratch is so awesome and liberating. We just wallpapered a feature wall in our bedroom with a cherry blossom pattern, something I've dreamed of for years, and it feels great! And now you can have your wooden feature wall, eh? Whether it's actual wood or a wallpaper! ;)
Beautiful! Good luck on your next place. This would be perfectly ideal for me if I was even living nearby. It's modern and beautiful, and that kitchen --- wow!
ReplyDeleteMoving house is SO exciting...and so exhausting, too!! But I think the anticipation of getting your new place looking exactly the way you want will help you through the inevitable rough patches, dearest Veronika; and I'm thrilled that you're letting us in on the process!! Congrats and good luck!! XOXO

I am! :) Congrats on the move! I'm sure the renovation planning will be so much fun, and I'm excited to follow it, I love home tours, and before & after and everything involving decoration.
ReplyDeleteHow exciting! The most helpful tip I can give is to go over the house with a fine-tooth comb. This isn't your first time buying, so I'm sure you know this, but I thought I'd suggest it anyway. It seems simple, but when we looked at our home, we ovelooked a few things because we were caught up in all the excitement. I love our home, and they're not major issues (completely cosmetic), but down the road, something small can start to bug you. I love the home inspirations pics...you have lovely taste! Good luck on this new endeavor!
ReplyDeleteYour post got me super excited! I honestly can't wait to see how the renovations will start and end. I'm sure you'll be able to achieve the look of the inspirations you picked out, maybe even better. Keep us posted, Veronika. All the best to you! :)
