This year, we decided to host a small Thanksgiving dinner in our home with our friends Tim & Maria, and we honestly had such a lovely time. Our red dining nook fit the bill perfectly... I kept the table decor pretty simple with a fall hued bouquet and my favourite vintage crystal glasses from the Czech Republic (both Martin & I are from there) so they have extra special meaning. I was also intending to add a few gold gourds around the house but our local store didn't have any. Blast! However, we just grabbed a pumpkin from our community garden and I definitley intend to spray paint it gold this weekend. Fun, glam pumpkins? Sign me up!
As for my Thanksgiving outfit? I couldn't resist wearing my newly ordered Cori Lynn skirt. It's the perfect pumpkin hued shade and suited the evening beautifully. I'll be sure to feature it in a "what i wore" post, oh so soon!! xo
Looks like a beautiful, intimate Thanksgiving with friends. We spent our Thanksgiving with both sides of our family, and though hectic and busy at times, we loved it. For some reason, Fall in Alberta is more beautiful than ever this year. Hoping Fall on the West coast is treating you just as well!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you had a wonderful time! I was travelling this year over Thanksgiving so missed a chance to celebrate :(

Thanks, Jenn! :D We'll have to plan our dinner soon too. Nothing wrong with a little fall BBQ, right?!... xo
ReplyDeleteHow fun! It looks like you had such a lovely time. We planned something similar this year, but Ian had to work, so in the end I did all the cooking... and took only one photo the whole evening! Such a shame, but I must admit, my set-up wasn't as pretty as yours. How gorgeous are your vintage crystal glasses? And I love the idea of a gold-painted pumpkin! So fun!
